The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising consumers not to eat alfalfa sprouts or spicy sprouts from bags labeled “Evergreen Produce” or “Evergreen Produce Inc.” due to possible Salmonella Enteritidis contamination. This is not the same pathogen as reported in the European outbreak. For more information, read the FDA Press Release.
